Ken Hopfe, the owner of Hopfe Automotive LLC, has 3 daughters who all live in the area. He also has 4 grandchildren. Ken lives in Woodland Park and looks forward to becoming an active member in the community. Ken has been in the automotive industry since he was 17 years old. He received his initial training at Chanute AFB in Illinois after joining the USAF where he served honorably. He then worked for a major tire and service company, where his training started as an entry level technician and advanced to the highest level of expertise in that company. After mastering the repair side in that company he was promoted to sales and then management. He received his management training in Atlanta Georgia. After a successful stint with this company he joined the world of entrepreneurship in Crestview Florida, where he and a partner opened an automotive repair facility that to this day is still growing. On a vacation to Woodland Park, Ken fell in love with the area. He then returned to Florida where “he loaded up the family” and moved to Woodland Park. Ken gained employment at Darrell’s Automotive as an Automotive Technician, where he has remained for more than 12 years. After 33 years in business, Darrell Dofoe, the owner of Darrell’s Automotive was ready for retirement. He has gotten to know a lot of the people in the community therefore making the transition from employee to owner when Darrell decided to retire was easy. Ken has stayed current with the automotive industry his entire life and is comfortable with the 21st century automobile.

Don Clifford was born and raised in Woodland Park. He graduated from Woodland Park High School in 1980. Go Panthers!!! Don took part in VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) a nationwide program that tests your hands on knowledge of heavy vehicle repair. He placed 1st in the district and 3rd overall in the nation. Don is also a 1982 graduate of Wyoming Technical Institute. Don is married with 2 daughters and 1 granddaughter. He has participated in the world known Pikes Peak Hill Climb as a mechanic and crew chief for a well known family of racers. Don has attended and received certificates of training in a wide array of automotive education throughout his long and successful career. This and the love he has for this industry make him well suited to help lead Ken Hopfe to a correct and thorough diagnosis and repair of your vehicle.

The newest member to our family at Hopfe Automotive LLC is Janie Petronella who comes to Woodland Park with a lot of enthusiasm and willingness to help Hopfe Automotive LLC become the first and best choice for your automotive needs. Janie is the mother of 2 sons and the grand mother of 2 granddaughters. Janie will be taking on the roll of management and customer service. Anyone who has already met her will be able to tell you she takes this role very seriously and is very easy and enjoyable to talk with. Janie’s experience in business comes from working for others in a service and retail orientated business. She has worked in the Medical field, and has been a licensed Cosmetologist for 35 years, in which she owned her own Salon and was very successful. The experience gained in that industry makes her extremely qualified to handle the management and customer service roles here at Hopfe Automotive LLC.
